MIGRATION TECHNOLOGY FOR OBSOLETE EQUIPMENT Migration Technology Definition During the past several years, Milgo Solutions has retired certain products from maintenance coverage. These products have been retired as spare units and parts are limited or unavailable. We have identified migration technology replacement plans for a major portion of our obsolete products. Service Coverage - Obsolete Equipment Obsolete equipment, depending upon the obsolete category, may not be offered under maintenance upon expiration of your current contract. Any service calls for obsolete equipment that we no longer cover would be billed at time and material rates on a best effort basis. Best effort basis is all that we could offer as parts and spares for these products are limited. Notification Of Obsolete Equipment Maintenance renewal packages for our customers with obsolete equipment include the Obsolete Code Selection Information Page. This document defines each obsolete category. Obsolete code/categories A through H have been assigned to obsolete products. Each obsolete code/category is listed with the retirement dates and coverage details in the Service Retirement Policies document. This document is located in section 14.0 of the Milgo Solutions Price Book dated March 1, 1999. The service retirement dates range from current date through January 1, 2001. Each obsolete product is listed by code and/or part in the Retired Product Matrix. This matrix is located in section number 14.1 of the Milgo Solutions Price Book dated March 1, 1999. All obsolete items that are billing on current maintenance contracts will continue to be covered by maintenance until expiration of that contract. Items may be approved to renew upon expiration of current contracts, depending upon the obsolete category that is assigned to the unit. Migration Technology Matrix Milgo Solutions Engineers have provided migration technology solutions for many of the retired products. These products perform similar functions as the obsolete equipment that is to be replaced. Please see the Migration Technology Matrix.
