  1. Reason for Withdrawal
  2. The product is at the end of its life and will be withdrawn.

  3. Replacement Product
  4. There is no direct low-price replacement for this product. The Excalibur DAP 6456 without SMNP is the replacement for applications not requiring management. The Excalibur DAP SNMP/T7 product family could be considered the replacement for this product line for those applications requiring network management, although it is a full-featured subrate DSU/CSU.

  5. Customer Notification
  6. We recommend that the appropriate account manager notify your customers immediately via telephone. Additionally, we suggest that a confirmation letter be sent out to each of your customers following the initial telephone call.

  7. Special Situations and Exceptions
    1. Fulfilling Existing Contract Obligations
    2. Any specific customer situations that may arise should be brought to the attention of the Marketing Office as soon as possible.

    3. Concessions for Specific Accounts

    No concessions have been identified or planned for specific customer accounts.

  8. Policy - Repairs After Withdrawal
  9. Warranty periods are not changed by withdrawal.

    RDG will continue to provide repair and rework services subject to availability of the necessary parts for the configuration and release level that were in effect upon the Last Order Date per Warranty and/or contract agreements.

  10. Policy - Technical Support After Withdrawal
  11. RDG will continue to provide technical support for installation and configuration services for the Product for one (1) year from the Last Order Date or as per Warranty or Contracted agreements.

  12. Maintenance and Service Support Policy after Withdrawal

Maintenance and support services will remain available for thirty-six (36) months from the date of discontinuation or through the terms of customer’s current maintenance agreement, whichever is longer.
