  1. Reason for Withdrawal

    2. Product line has reached the end of its life and is being replaced.

  2. Replacement Product

    3. The ISX 5312 or ISX 5314 will replace the ISX 5300 in virtually all applications. One exception is the ISX 5300 Triple CSU/DSU, which has no equivalent functionality in the ISX 5312/14 family. The other exception is the DTE interface capability. The ISX 5300 supports DTEs that conform to RS-232/V.35 or RS-449/EIA-530 specifications. The ISX 5312/14 has DTE interfaces for V.35 only.

    The ISX 5314 CS can be used to implement the functionality of the ISX 5302 in virtually all applications. The notable exception is the more limited range of support for DTE interfaces, just as mentioned above for the ISX 5300.

    The ISX 5312 or ISX 5314 CS can replace the ISX 2500 and ISX 2500 CS, respectively, except for support of the triple CSU configurations.

  3. Customer Notification

    4. We recommend that the appropriate account manager notify your customers immediately via telephone. Additionally, we suggest that a confirmation letter be sent out to each of your customers following the initial telephone call.

  4. Special Situations and Exceptions
    1. Fulfilling Existing Contract Obligations

      2. Any specific customer situations that may arise should be brought to the attention of the Marketing Office as soon as possible.

    2. Concessions for Specific Accounts

    No concessions have been identified or planned for specific customer accounts.

  5. Policy - Repairs After Withdrawal

    6. Warranty periods are not changed by withdrawal.

    RDG will continue to provide repair and rework services subject to availability of the necessary parts for the configuration and release level that were in effect upon the Last Order Date per Warranty and/or contract agreements.

  6. Policy - Technical Support After Withdrawal

    7. RDG will continue to provide technical support for installation and configuration services for the Product for one (1) year from the Last Order Date or as per Warrant or Contracted agreements.

  7. Maintenance and Service Support Policy after Withdrawal

Maintenance and support services will remain available for thirty-six (36) months from the date of discontinuation or through the terms of customer’s current maintenance agreement, whichever is longer.
