Demands for the above listed modules have dropped significantly and are producing virtually no revenue. Product line support has become difficult due to component obsolescence. Since demand for these products is low these products are being withdrawn immediately.
There is no replacement product available from Racal for most of these modules. However, the following items can be accommodated:
PN850029, replacement part number PN850039.
Keep in mind that the PN850029 (4Mb Token Ring) supports an unshielded twisted pair and the PN850039 (4/16Mb) supports shielded twisted pair.
PN850041, replacement part number PN850042.
The 24 port version of the Token Ring Access Panel is being retired. The 12 port version will still be maintained.
PN850061, no direct replacement.
This is one of the three 4 Wire VF modules in the PremNet product offering. We will still offer the PTT and E&M versions of this module.
We recommend that the appropriate account manager notify your customers immediately via telephone. Additionally, we suggest that a confirmation letter be sent out to each of your customers following the initial telephone call.
Any specific customer situations that may arise should be brought to the attention of the Marketing Office as soon as possible.
No concessions have been identified or planned for specific customer accounts concerning the products identified.
Warranty periods are not changed by withdrawal.
RDG will continue to provide repair and rework services subject to availability of the necessary parts for the configuration and release level that were in effect upon the Last Order Date per Warranty and/or contract agreements.
RDG will continue to provide technical support for installation and configuration services for the Product for one (1) year from the Last Order Date or as per Warranty or Contracted agreements.
Maintenance and support services will remain available for thirty-six (36) months from the date of discontinuation or through the terms of customer’s current maintenance agreement, whichever is longer.
