What makes Milgo Solutions’ Gene Allen Training and Education Center unique is that before being trainers, we were long practicing what we teach. We combine our vast experience with our devotion to the training profession. Our approach is to make the training a painless but efficient process for our students.

Milgo Solutions, Inc. formerly known as Racal Data Group, re-found its Milgo identity when, it was acquired by Platinum Equity Holdings, Inc in September of 1998.

Platinum Equity Holdings, Inc also acquired TimePlex Corporation in September 1999 and has merged TimePlex into Milgo Solutions. This migration of companies has produced an even stronger Data Communications solutions and services provider.

Before we became industry educators, Milgo Solutions had culminated over 40 years experience in data networking. Through our Gene Allen Training and Education Center we have combined extensive experience and devotion to training industry professionals. Our approach is to offer efficient, practical and cutting edge training to our students.

We can help you master subjects such as T1, T3, SONET, LANs, Gigabit Ethernet, ISDN, Frame Relay, ATM, The Internet and TCP/IP. Plus, other protocols and Multimedia over IP efficiently and easily. We can provide custom and off-the-shelf-training either at one of our state-of-the-art equipped training sites in Florida, California or if you prefer at your site.

Milgo will design a custom training curriculum tailored to your individual needs. The customized course may combine topics from standard courses as well as new material. The topics and sequence will depend on a mutual goal-setting session between our training development/instructional staff and your staff.

When it comes to organizational productivity, there's just no substitute for a properly trained staff. Whether your network operational strategy calls for implementing and managing your network with internal staff or you plan to outsource much of it, you still need trained personnel within your organization. It's only a matter of how many.

Milgo's Training Philosophy

Two things permeate our thinking about training. First, our "product" is developing the technical skills in your staff that make them productive in their jobs and your organization. This leads us to staff our organization with personnel who have demonstrated the skills necessary to be successful at the job they're teaching others to perform. There's no better way for your people to develop their skills than to learn from someone whose "been there, done that". Toward this goal, we only hire instructors who have prior experience in both implementing and managing networks as well as a good track record in teaching.

Second, we insist on the requisite amount of hands-on time for each student who attends one of our product courses. So even if we bring a standard or custom product course to your location, we require on-site equipment at the training location. Whether you provide the equipment or we supply it, our students will get the touch and feel of the equipment.
